Preparing for the treatment sessions to remove your tattoo is relatively simple. You don't have to prepare for the treatment before you go into the doctor's office. Before beginning treatment with the laser, the doctor will use a topical medication to numb the area of the tattoo that will be treated during that session. This medication will gradually wear off and all sense of numbness will disappear with time. During the treatment, you can ask for more medication if needed.
