Facelift: Who Is a Candidate?
The ideal candidate for a facelift is a person whose face and neck have begun to sag, but whose skin still has some elasticity. While most patients are in their 40s - 60s, many people in their 70s and 80s undergo successful facelifts. As with any cosmetic surgery procedure, people who are physically healthy and psychologically stable with realistic expectations of what a facelift can do for their appearance generally make the best candidates. While men do have facelifts, 93% of facelifts are performed on women.
