How will your life change after breast reduction? There is a good likelihood that you値l be happier with your new shape, you値l find fewer limitations in your physical activities, you値l be more comfortable, and you値l have an easier time finding clothes that fit. Here are other things to consider:
- Breast cancer screening and mammography. As for all women, you値l need regular mammography exams after a certain age to detect breast cancer. There is no greater danger of getting breast cancer with this procedure and you will still be able to do breast self-exams.
- Breast-feeding. If a substantial amount of breast tissue has been removed, it may limit your ability to breastfeed successfully. You may want to postpone this surgery until after childbearing if you plan to breastfeed.
- Though the reduction is permanent, realize that your breasts will continue to change shape with time, gravity and weight fluctuations.
