The best candidates for surgical hair restoration procedures are men and women with sufficient donor hair available along the back and sides of their heads to transplant (or stretch) to the balding area. You must be in reasonably good health, with no conditions that would restrict elective surgery, such as pregnancy, cardiovascular, or bleeding problems. People with a history of keloid formation are not candidates due to their potential for developing keloids (excessively large scar tissue).
