In certain cases, health insurance may cover the laser surgery. Surgery to correct or improve congenital deformities or accidental skin injuries or the removal of pre-cancerous skin growths may be reimbursable in whole or in part. Be sure to check your policy and contact your insurance company before the procedure is performed. Elective or “cosmetic” surgery in most cases is not covered by insurance, which means you’ll have to pay for it yourself.
For a full face laser skin resurfacing, current costs range from $2750 to $4200. A partial face laser resurfacing ranges from $1000 to $2600. In both cases costs are exclusive of anesthesia cost, surgical facilities and other related expenses.
