Tattoo Removal: Recovery
Following each treatment session, it is important that you keep the areas as clean as possible, washing it with hydrogen peroxide, followed by an application of a topical antibiotic like polysporin or bacitracin, and keeping the treated area covered with a clean bandage. In most cases your doctor will recommend doing this for the first week following treatment. After that first week, you no longer need to keep the treated area covered, but it is extremely important that you wear sunblock and avoid exposing the treated area to the sun. The treated area may be tender for several days following the session, however the tenderness will disappear over time.
